Koriya

Located in the northeastern part of the Chhattisgarh, Koriya, was  formerly a princely state. Koriya is one of the most picturesque districts of  the state,famous for its enchantingly beautiful natural landscapes comprising  of lush green hills and exotic waterfalls. It is rich in  mineral resources  especially coal, and has abundant wildlife too. Baikunthpur is the district  headquarter of the Koriya district and is well connected by road  with Raipur. The climate is pleasant, with mild summers and cool  winters.

Amrit Dhara Waterfall

Amritdhara waterfall is a beautiful natural waterfall on the Hasdo River. The waterfall is about seven km from the Nagpur on the Manendragarh-Baikunthpur road . About 80-90 feet high and 10-15 feet wide, its creates a beautiful misty ambience. From Manendragarh Railway Station one can take a bus or taxi to the fall.

Ramdaha Waterfall

Ramdaha waterfall is a beautiful natural waterfall on the Banas River, near Bhavarkhoh villege. The waterfall is about 160 km from the Baikunthpur. The waterfall is about 100-120 high and 20-25 feet wide, and it is surrounded by forests and rocks. From Manendragarh railway station one can take a bus or taxi to Bhavarkhoh village and walk km to the fall.

Gevar Ghat Waterfall

Gavar Ghat Waterfall is a beautiful natural waterfall on the Hasdo river. The waterfall is at a distance of about 40 km from Baikunthpur and 5 km from Tarra village. It is 50-60 feet high and 10 feet wide,. It is in an area full of forests and rocks.

Akuri Nala

Akuri Nala is a small waterfall about 65 km from Baikunthpur near Bansipur village. The waterfall is surrounded by rocks and forests. Even in summer, the area is cold, giving it he feel of "the natural air Conditioner".

By Rail
Baikunthpur the district headquarter of Koriya is connected with rail route. Manendragarh and Baikunthpur Road are the main railway stations of Koriya.

By Road
Koriya is well connected with by roads to all important cities and towns of states and nearby states.
